VP Sales and Marketing


Status : Full Time

Job Description:

Reporting to the CEO, this position will provide strategic and tactical direction to DTI’s overall corporate marketing and sales operations/functions.  As a member of the executive leadership team, the VP of Sales & Marketing will actively participate in the determination of DTI’s strategic direction and ensure all marketing and sales goals are measurable and attainable. The overall measure of performance shall be a direct result of meeting budgeted goals and objectives.


The Position:

This position involves:

  • Planning, development and execution of short and long-term sales plans to meet the changing market and competitive conditions;
  • Develop and execute marketing and sales objectives and direct all sales activities to maximize sales revenue;
  • Ensure maximum potential of DTI products/solutions in all core and vertical markets;
  • Maximize revenues through planning and management of sales activities;
  • Strategize new revenue generation strategies at executive level.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective and structured sales process and methodology;
  • Develop and implement sales plans, analyze sales statistics to formulate sales policies and practices;
  • Develop and maintain forecasting activities and set performance goals;
  • Analyze sales team performance;
  • Design and implement a strategy for hiring, training and evaluating sales team;
  • Manage the sales funnel from opportunity identification to signed contract;
  • Prepare sales reports showing sales booking, revenue projections and variance from budget;
  • Manage corporate pricing policies
  • Manage the process of identifying and responding to RFI’s and RFP’s;
  • Assess, and assign all day to day activities and monitor progress;
  • Identify and establish sales priorities and plan for future staffing and resource requirements within the Sales & Marketing department;
  • Develop, implement and manage a Channel Partnership strategy for all existing and potential DTI partners;
  • Develop all DTI Channel Distribution strategies and promotional strategies;
  • Develop and execute an overall corporate DTI marketing strategy;
  • Develop, implement and execute DTI’s marketing communications strategy;
  • Identify and contact analysts in the ICP OSS/BACM area of expertise, coordinate a repeatable process for accessing these analysts through Webinars;
  • Coordinate and execute strategies for trade shows including demos, marketing collateral, booths, communication and partnership strategies;
  • Design and execute presentation strategies, web strategies and conference speaking strategies on behalf of DTI’s expertise in the BACM.

Qualifications:

You must have:

  • Minimum of 10 years sales experience, with emphasis in management/executive role in the technology sector;
  • Significant channel sales development and sales operation experience;
  • Experience with software organizations selling enterprise solutions;
  • Proven ability to achieve results that meet both short and long-term business objectives;
  • Highly adaptable to bring Best Practices into a small and growing sales organization;
  • Strong understanding of Web and Software technologies;
  • Degree in Marketing or related Business degree
