Business Analyst - Client Services



Status : Full Time


Job Description:


Reporting to the Client Services Manager, this position will be responsible for gathering, defining, and documenting clients’ business needs, as well as ensuring the appropriate software development occurs within the stated project timeframes.   

The Position:

This position involves:

  • Serving as the liaison between project stakeholders and the technical resources
  • Ensuring that business requirements are interpreted and transformed into technical and functional specifications
  • Ensuring that all product deliverables effectively meet client needs and are of the highest possible quality

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and developers to translate requirements (functional and non-functional) into specifications.
  • Establish quality measures to ensure that all deliverables meet the business requirements for project stakeholders.
  • Assist the Project Manager in delivering on time and on budget projects by developing and maintaining effective project plans and providing timely status reporting.
  • Support team commitment by building and maintaining constructive working relationships with all staff members and sharing information, ideas and knowledge openly and honestly.
  • Support business development efforts by participating in sales activities, proposal development, product demonstrations and other business development support activities.
  • Develop and maintain successful professional relationships with client stakeholders by participating in regular meetings and conference calls.
  • Analyze internal business requirements and recommend technical solutions and business process changes.
  • Facilitate and conduct client and end-user training providing accurate and detailed documentation on specific functionality.

  • Ability to build professional trust and respect with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize among a number of processes and problems with minimal supervision and tight timelines.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to deal with situations where information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite, MS Project and Visio.

Qualifications:

You must have:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business or IT related discipline.

Knowledge of the following is an asset:

  • Knowledge of the Telecommunications Industry.
  • Previous experience in requirements analysis and management.
  • Knowledge of UML diagramming techniques.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports.
